I do love the stamp designs by Maile Belles and her cards are wonderful. I chose for my inspiration a card that it appears a number of use liked. I stamped my butterfly using the "baby wipes" technique so I could blend some colors together and have a little textured look. All stamps are from the Papertrey Ink "Life is Beautiful" stamp set.
Papertrey Ink's Make-It-Monday challenge is to layer cover plates to make a shadow effect. I used my Harlequin Die to create the background for my card for the challenge. I also used my Boutique Borders Love stamps and my Happy Hearts stamp set.
This weeks Make-It-Monday challenge was to create interesting corners on a card rather than applying a design to the center. It seemed like a great opportunity to use the cute flower stamps that were the Papertrey Ink December Freebie. For my background I cut out my Harlequin Die cover plate and then used it as a stencil.
Since this week's Make-it-Monday at Papertrey Ink was a la Carte, I had a difficult time choosing what to create. I have missed a number of the challenges and was intrigued by more than one of the videos. I finally decided on #177 Using Cover Plate Negatives. I had a great time with this because one card led to another and then another. Here is my card using the cover plate negative technique.
This weeks Make-It-Monday project is stamped borders. I used my new "Hello There" stamp set from Papertrey Ink to create the border for this card. I added a die cut tag and "Wet Paint" hello friend for the greeting.
It's another Make-it-Monday challenge. I loved this week's project since I have never done anything like it before. The raised sentiment is a beautiful idea. I used my Papertrey Ink "thank you" die and my "In the Meadow"stamp set to create this card.
