I think this was my favorite challenge today because I loved the inspiration photos. It was hard to decide which one to choose. Finally I picked this one.
I do enjoy to look of stitching on a card and I like the idea of stamps that mimic this look. Unfortunately, I don't have any. Often I just use a white pen and drawn perfect short lines. Today I got out my 20 year old sewing machine and fiddled with it until I could get a couple of rows of metallic silver thread to sew through cardstock. My first attempt to sew around a circle was a disaster. So, here is a simple bit a stitching.
I rarely used multiple pattern papers on a card so Betsy's video was very helpful today. I think it will be easier for me to get a better result now that I understand the basics. Here is my card.
It was difficult to choose a pattern for this challenge because I liked so many of the designs. Needless to say I will have wonderful inspiration for future cards. I chose Ashley's pretty card because I have the dies to make this card but have rarely used them. This was a good opportunity to get them out again.
This is the first time I have ever put thread nested on a card. I can't say why I have not tried it because I love the look. After putting this card together I am sure I will use it again. Here is my take on Laura Bassen's wonderful card.
Well it has started, the Papertrey Ink STAMP-A-FAIRE! It is going to be a fun day. To start off I have my all white Bridal card to share.
This month's blog hop has such great warm colors for our inspiration. Here is the photo. Fall is my favorite season so these colors were right in line for some very special cards.
As I have watched the release for Papertrey Ink unveil this month there are definitely a few products I would love to have. In particular I have the twig wreath stamp set on my mind and have already imagined some fun cards with that product. Therefore, I had to create a card with a wreath for the challenge. This one I put together using the Mini Blooms stamp set and the sentiment form Autumn Hills. Without a circle base I decided to trace a light green circle with a pale green colored pencil, it gave me a nice shape to follow.
