Stamped Borders - Make-It-Monday

This weeks Make-It-Monday project is stamped borders.  I used my new "Hello There" stamp set from Papertrey Ink to create the border for this card.  I added a die cut tag and "Wet Paint" hello friend for the greeting.

Camouflaging Die Cuts

It's another Make-it-Monday challenge.  I loved this week's project since I have never done anything like it before. The raised sentiment is a beautiful idea.  I used my Papertrey Ink "thank you" die and my "In the Meadow"stamp set to create this card.

Stamping a Plaid Background

Here is another Papertrey Ink Make-it-Monday card, this time stamping a plaid background.  I didn't have any stripe stamps, so I improvised and used my Ombre Builders stamp set to create my plaid. The wavy lines actually made an interesting plaid design that I really like.  Here is my card.

Make It Monday - #187 Partial Die Cuts

Here is another Make It Monday technique from Papertrey Ink where I used my snowflake dies. I embossed by sentiment on vellum so that the pretty snowflakes would show through.  I used by my sentiment from the "Wreath for all Seasons" set to create this simple tag.

Partial Die Stamping - Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #186

With my snowflake dies and my wet paint holiday dies I gave the Make It Monday technique a try.  I stamped my peace die cut with medium and dark blue to give the sentiment a little pop of color.  Here's my card in shades of blue with a tiny touch of light green.

Make it Monday #184 with Papertrey Ink

Danielle Flanders at Papertrey Ink had a really fun idea this week with the Make It Monday video. She created some beautiful tags that I just loved!  The tags had leaf die cuts with the edges dipped in gold embossing powder for a shimmery look.  I decided to try out her design suggestion with a thank you card. Here is my card.  I stamped a flower design from my Papertrey Ink Autumn Abundance stamp set on a die cut and colored it with distress markers. Then I used a second die cut slightly larger for a mat.  I put silver embossing just on my edges of the mat.

Make it Monday #181 - Paper Casting

On the Papertrey Ink blog this week was a really fun craft, paper casting.  It uses simple tissue paper(TP) to create casted shapes from stamps.  Here is the link to the tutorial.  This was so easy to do and had just surprising results.  Here are my tags that I made using my "Fancy That" stamps from Papertrey Ink.

Paper Weaving a Card background

I stopped by the Papertrey Ink blog to see the Make It Monday idea.  The video shared some lovely paper weaving that could easily be used on a scrapbook page or card.  I created a get well card and adorned it with one of my favorite flower stamps from the Delightful Dahlia Stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  I love to emboss this flower and then paint it with stamp ink in a watercolor fashion.  Here is my finished card.

Inspired by Papertreyink Embossing

I have revisited making greeting cards and have really enjoyed the stamps at a store I recently discovered.  Papertreyink has some lovely designs and on various Mondays they share techniques.  I watched a recent demo that used embossing and resist inking to decorate a card.  That inspired me to emboss a tree design (a stamp from Papertreyink) and watercolor the background.  Here is my finished card.

My thanks to the talented people at Papertreyink for sharing such fun ideas!
